Rififi
A smash-burger bar in a former bank, with a menu that sells the food and a story people remember the place by.
The brief
Rififi serves brunch, smash burgers and cocktails on tap at Kriari 33 in Chania, in a building that used to be a bank. Most orders go through Wolt, and the bar competes with a lot of other places on the same streets. It needed a site that makes people hungry fast and gives them a reason to choose it.
What I built
A single bold page in English and Greek: a hero with video, the full menu with photos, the cocktails on tap, and a “case file” section that tells the bank story. A toggle flips the page into a grainy, black-and-white “before Rififi” version of itself, and the vault can be cracked open.
